Oregon Zoo: Tiny Goat Visits

Goat kids, Ruth and Sonia, go on wild adventure to meet other animals in the Oregon Zoo.

PORTLAND, Ore. – Ruth, a Nigerian dwarf goat kid named after Supreme Court Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg, and Sonia, a mini Nubian goat kid, have been going on wild explorations to meet other animals from penguins to seals.

We decided to catch up and share their interactions with nine different types of animals at the Oregon Zoo.

Watch them meet the zoo's river otters.

Watch how surprised Ruth and Sonia were when they met one-year-old penguins.

Watch how they react to Zuberi the Hornbill Chick.

Watch how bold they were when meeting a pride of lions.

Watch how two giraffe’s, Buttercup and Desi, warm up to Ruth and Sonia.

Watch how excited Chupacabra, a Patagonian Mara, is to meet the goats.

Watch the goats’ encounter with perhaps the zoo’s most well-known inhabitants, elephants Samudra, Shine and Chendra.

Watch how intrigued they are to see Sharpie the Porcupine.

Watch how interested the Harbor Seals Kaya, Tongass and Atuun are to get a visit from the goats.

We’ll continue to keep an eye on their adventures! For more information, go to the Tiny Goat Visits Facebook page.
