PORTLAND, Ore. — Update:
Players have tweeted that the girl has been found safe.
The girl's father also posted on his Facebook page that she was found.
NBA players have been using their large social media followings to ask for help with finding a girl who was reportedly last seen in North Portland on Thursday night.
Portland Trail Blazers guards Damian Lillard and CJ McCollum posted information about the girl on their Instagram accounts on Saturday. The Blazers retweeted NBA player Chris Paul’s post about the girl. Dwyane Wade and Kevin Love also shared posts.
KGW reached out to Portland police for information. Police said it appears the girl ran away and is not endangered.
"Of course we’re always concerned when someone, particularly a juvenile, goes missing, but right now it’s being investigated as a runaway," said Sgt. Kevin Allen.
KGW reached out to the girl’s family but has not heard back.
