PORTLAND, Ore. — One man is dead after an SUV and a motorcycle collided at the intersection of SE Stone Road and Highway 26 on Thursday, according to Multnomah County Sheriff's Office.

Deputies responded to the crash, just north of Boring, shortly before 3 p.m.

An SUV driver heading southbound on Southeast Stone turned left onto Highway 26 and crashed into a motorcyclist who was traveling westbound the highway, according to deputies.

The motorcyclist, a male, was pronounced dead at the scene.

The driver of the SUV remained at the scene and cooperated with investigators.

The investigation is ongoing.
