ALOHA, Ore. — A 15-year-old Aloha girl who ran away from her home on Oct. 18 returned to her family on Tuesday.
Ashley Jarrell came home on her own after she saw media coverage about her disappearance, according to the Washington County Sheriff's Office.
Jarrell ran away from home on Oct. 18. Detectives believed she was at risk of human trafficking because of a history of being lured by adults during past incidents. Detectives also said she functions at the level of an 11-year-old child.
Jarrell had stayed in downtown Portland, Beaverton, Aloha and Vancouver before, and had also traveled by train to other states. She had used the name "Latoya Sanchez" in the past.
Jarrell was described as 5-foot-1, 110 pounds, with shoulder-length hair and hazel eyes. She usually has naturally light-brown hair, but detectives said she could have dyed her hair a different color.
