PORTLAND, Ore. — An 82-year-old man died at a Portland hospital after he was hit by a vehicle on Oct. 11.
Portland police identified the man as Charles A. McCarthy of Portland.
The collision occurred at around 3:40 p.m. at Southeast 55th Avenue and Burnside. McCarthy was walking across East Burnside in a marked crosswalk when he was struck by a vehicle turning from 55th Avenue onto Burnside, according to Portland police.
The driver remained at the scene and was cooperating with investigators. There have been no charges in the case.
Investigators will forward their reports to the Multnomah County District Attorney's Office for review.
