PORTLAND, Ore. -- The new Prosperity Pie Shoppe in Multnomah Village serves up pie with a recipe for financial success.
"We want to help you get a piece of the pie," said partner Amanda Winn, "knowing your money can give you confidence."
Owner Luna Jaffe is a financial planner.
"Pie is a way to get people in the door and comfortable," she remarked. "Retirement planning, recovering from bankruptcy even online bill paying, we can educate customers."
A slice of pie is $6.75, the financial classes on the menu are offered on a sliding scale.
"The profits help us stay available to anyone who needs help. As customers gain understanding of a concept, they can mentor someone else," said Jaffe.
"Good food, good advice," concluded one smiling customer. "Everyone needs a slice of that."
