GRESHAM, Ore. — Police on Thursday identified the motorcyclist who died in a crash that closed Burnside Road in Gresham on Wednesday afternoon as Henry Sweeney, 19, of Gresham. The crash was at Burnside Road and Oregon Trail Center.
Sweeney was traveling westbound on Burnside and an eastbound SUV driver was making a left turn on a flashing yellow light, police said.
Impairment of the 81-year-old SUV driver does not appear to be a factor, police said. It's unknown if speed was a factor.
Police said Thursday that no arrests of citations have been issued at this time and the crash is still under investigation.
