PORTLAND – The 21-year-old woman killed in a gang-related shooting at a Southeast Portland apartment Sunday morning was pregnant, an autopsy found.

Ervaeua Ronchelle Herring was found dead at the Eastwood Village Apartments on 15139 SE Powell Blvd. at 5 a.m. after a reported shooting, according to a Portland police spokesman.

Officials believe the shooting was gang-related.

Investigators said the apartment may have been the intended target, and multiple suspects were firing guns at the apartment.

After an autopsy Monday, the Oregon State Medical Examiner said Herring was killed by gunfire and was in the early stages of pregnancy.

Police said Herring also had a young son.

The only suspect descriptions police have is the men were African-Americans armed with guns.

Anyone with information about the case was urged to call homicide detectives. Crime Stoppers was also offering $1,000 for information that leads to an arrest.
