PORTLAND, Ore. — For the fourth time in five days, the Oregon Health Authority reported no new coronavirus-related deaths. The state’s death toll remains at 151.

The state public health agency announced 48 more confirmed and presumptive cases. Those people live in the following counties:

  • Clackamas: 1
  • Curry: 1
  • Douglas: 1
  • Hood River: 1
  • Jefferson: 3
  • Klamath: 1
  • Lane: 1
  • Lincoln: 2
  • Marion: 11
  • Multnomah: 18
  • Wasco: 1
  • Washington: 7

The OHA did not say how many of the cases, if any, in Multnomah and Washington counties were connected to a COVID-19 outbreak at Townsend Farms sites in Fairview and Cornelius.

A day after saying they would publicly report workplace outbreaks of five or more cases, health officials on Friday said six people have tested positive for the virus connected to an outbreak at Duckwall Fruit in Hood River County. The investigation into the outbreak started Friday. Officials are working with the business to protect workers.

The 48 new cases are among 3,024 newly reported tests on Friday. The percentage of positive tests have declined over the last month and a half while the number of tests completed has increased. The OHA said 1.7% of people tested this week tested positive for the coronavirus. The positive testing rate in Oregon for the duration of the pandemic is 3.3%, well below the national average of 12%, officials said.

Oregon has had a total of 4,131 coronavirus cases, including presumptive cases, as of Friday morning. It’s not clear how many of those are active infections. While people presumed to have the virus have not yet tested positive, they have shown COVID-19 symptoms and had close contact with a confirmed case.

A total of 122,579 people have been tested for COVID-19, with 118,550 people (96.7%) testing negative.
