Health officials report three new COVID-19 deaths in Oregon

The state has had 3,286 cases of coronavirus and the death toll now stands at 130.

PORTLAND, Ore. — The Oregon Health Authority reported three new deaths due to COVID-19 on Monday.

The state's death toll from the coronavirus rose to 130.

OHA also reported 51 new confirmed cases and seven new presumptive cases of COVID-19 in the state, bringing the total number of cases in the state to 3,286.

OHA released the following information about the people who died:

  • Oregon’s 128th COVID-19 death is a 91-year-old man in Polk County, who tested positive on May 2 and died on May 10 at Salem Hospital. He had underlying medical conditions.
  • Oregon’s 129th COVID-19 death is a 64-year-old man in Umatilla County, who tested positive on April 29 and died on May 9 at Providence St. Mary Medical Center, Walla Walla. It is unknown at this time if he had underlying medical conditions.
  • Oregon’s 130th COVID-19 death is a 77-year-old woman in Washington County, who tested positive on May 3 and died on May 9 at OHSU Hillsboro Medical Center. She had no known underlying medical conditions.

A total of 77,542 people have been tested in Oregon and 74,320 of those tests (96%) have come back negative.
