3 more deaths and 76 new cases in Oregon

On Saturday, The State of Oregon announced there have been three new COVID-19 deaths and an additional 76 cases.

In its daily update on the COVID-19 situation in Oregon, the State of Oregon announced three new COVID-19 related deaths and an additional 76 new cases.

In Oregon, 28,638 people have been tested for COVID-19:

  • 1,447 positive
  • 27,191 negative

There have been a total of 51 deaths in the state due to the virus.

The 49th patient to die from COVID-19 was a 94-year-old woman in Yamhill County. She tested positive on March 31 and died on April 8 at her home. She had underlying conditions.

The 50th patient to die from COVID-19 was a 93-year-old woman in Multnomah County. She tested positive on April 9 and died on April 10 at her home. She had underlying conditions.

The 51st patient to die from COVID-19 was an 81-year-old man in Josephine County. He tested positive on March 27 and died on April 10 at Rogue Regional Medical Center. He had underlying conditions.

However, according to the latest release from the state is that Emergency Department visits for COVID-like cases are decreasing in Oregon. With a stay home order in place in the state, it may be seeing the payoff of isolation. The hope is to flatten the curve of the virus.
