PORTLAND, Ore. — The Oregon Health Authority announced two more deaths and 66 new cases of COVID-19 in the state on Sunday.
The two additional deaths bring the total to 74 people who have died from COVID-19 in Oregon and the total positive cases to 1,910.
The new cases were found in the following counties:
- Clackamas: 7
- Deschutes: 1
- Lane: 2
- Marion: 23
- Multnomah: 21
- Umatilla: 1
- Washington: 12
The two newly reported deaths were two men in their 60s with underlying medical conditions, according to OHA.
- A 64-year-old man from Benton County tested positive March 26 and died April 18 at Good Samaritan Regional Medical Center.
- A 68-year-old man from Washington County tested positive March 23 and died April 11 at OHSU.

OHA said a previously reported case in Klamath County was determined to be a Washington State case, reducing Sunday's number of cases by one.
Testing in Oregon is being done with the help of private and hospital labs as well as the Oregon State Public Health Laboratory. As of April 17, Oregon’s positive testing result has remained fairly consistent at about 5% of tests performed. The national average is 17.6%.
Data has shown that Oregon's social distancing and stay home initiatives are working to reduce the number of COVID-like visits to the emergency room.
