PORTLAND, Ore. — A local inventor has come up with a product she calls the Bra Friend.
It's a strip of cotton around a non-allergenic fiber fill.
Merica Fooks, the creator of Bra Friend, came up with it after getting a painful rash. She explains how it works.
"You just lift up your breasts and tuck the Bra Friend underneath the bra," she said. "It helps to absorb moisture and keep the under-breast area cool."
A half dozen women, working from home, sew the Bra Friends.
They're sold online. Click here to visit the Bra Friend website, where you can learn more and purchase the product.
Fooks is working on a plan now to donate them to Oregon's 700 women firefighters.
