PORTLAND, Ore. -- In an effort to get people outside the day after Thanksgiving for some fresh air and exercise, all Oregon state parks will have free parking and admission on Black Friday.

The Oregon State Parks and Oregon State Parks Foundation are supporting the #OptOutside movement by hosting special events on Friday, Nov. 25, at Stub Stewart, Tryon Creek, Champoeg and Silver Falls state parks from 10 a.m. until 2 p.m.

Hot drinks and snacks will be available at the four special events. There will also be drawings to win prizes from companies like Columbia Sportswear, Keen Footwear, REI and Leatherman Tools.

Register early for the drawings by clicking here and bring the completed forms to any of the four events at Stub Stewart, Tryon Creek, Champoeg or Silver Falls State Parks on Friday, Nov. 25.
