HILLSBORO, Ore. — A former Aloha High School teacher was indicted and arrested Wednesday on charges of downloading and possessing child pornography.
Detectives began their investigation into Geoffrey Germano, of Hillsboro, after receiving a tip in April that he had downloaded multiple files containing child pornography.
In May, detectives executed a search warrant at Germano’s home in the 2000 block of Southeast 62nd Avenue in Hillsboro. During their search, they found evidence that he had downloaded multiple files containing sexually explicit images and videos of children, according to the Washington County Sheriff's Office.
A grand jury indicted Germano earlier this month on seven counts of first-degree Encouraging Child Sexual Abuse. He was arrested and lodged into the Washing County Jail. Germano’s bail is set at $140,000.
