VANCOUVER, Wash. — A woman died at a hospital after she was struck by a vehicle in Vancouver on Thursday night.

The driver left the scene after the crash, but was arrested on Friday.

Vancouver police arrested 58-year-old Dennis Bogle Friday evening at his home near Southeast Nancy Road and 10th Street. His Dodge Ram pickup truck, which was identified as the suspect vehicle, was also found, police said.

The collision occurred just before 9 p.m. Thursday night. Police responded to a parking lot in the 500 block of SE Chkalov Drive and found the woman down on the ground. She was injured but conscious and alert, police said.

Medics took her to a hospital, where she later died.
