ST. HELENS, Ore. — Authorities arrested a suspect who they believe shot two people in St. Helens earlier this month and fled the scene.
Adam Corey Fleming, 31 was found and arrested on Monday in Sacramento, California, with the assistance of the U.S. Marshals Service, according to St. Helens police.
On July 2, St. Helens police responded to a shooting at around 10:15 p.m. in the area of Cowlitz Street and South 7th Street.

One victim suffered a gunshot wound to the arm while the other had multiple gunshot wounds to the lower extremities, police said. Both victims were taken to the hospital with serious injuries. They are expected to survive.
A 7-year-old girl was also inside the home when the shooting happened, police said. She was upstairs and away from danger when the shooting occurred and was not injured.
Finding Fleming was a joint effort between local, state and federal law enforcement, according to St. Helens police.
