PORTLAND, Ore. — Two men are facing attempted murder charges in connection to a shooting investigation that left one person wounded in Northeast Portland on October 15.

Officers responded to a report of a shooting in the 13000 block of Northeast Prescott Drive and found a man suffering from a gunshot wound. He remains in the hospital in serious condition according to police.

Cedric A. Jones,31, was arrested on Thursday during a traffic stop in the area Northeast 122nd Avenue and Northeast Shaver Street police said.

After taking Jones into custody, officers served multiple search warrants at a home in the 13000 Block of Northeast Prescott Drive and in the 500 block of North Knott Street. Four handguns were seized inside the home on Northeast Knott Street police said.


During the warrant service, police arrested 34-year-old Chancy Trice.

Jones and Thrice were booked into the Multnomah County Jail.

Both are facing attempted murder, robbery, assault, unlawful use of a weapon and felon in possession of a firearm. Jones was also charged with possession and delivery of Cocaine.
