At least four suspects are at large following two armed robberies at a South Salem store and a Keizer bar early Monday morning.
Police said it is too early to say whether the two robberies are connected.
An employee at the Good Times Grill on 122 Chemawa Road North was closing the Keizer business around 2:30 a.m. when a man entered the bar, pointed a handgun at her and demanded money.
The victim told investigators that after the first suspect robbed her and fled on foot with an undisclosed amount of cash, another man armed with a handgun approached her and also demanded money.
Keizer Police Deputy Chief Jeffrey Kuhns said the victim told the man she'd already been robbed.
"The second suspect appeared to become confused and then fled the business," he said.
Keizer officers and a Salem police K-9 unit searched the area but were unable to locate the men.
The first suspect is described as being 5 feet 3 inches to 5 feet 5 inches and about 30 years old with a darker complexion and dark brown eyes. During the robbery, he wore blue jeans, a dark hooded jacket and a red baseball cap.
The second suspect was described as being White, skinny, 5 feet 9 inches and under 30 years old. He donned a dark coat, a light-colored baseball cap and a red bandana covering most of his face.
Kuhns said both men should be considered armed and dangerous.
About 20 minutes later, four suspects entered the AM-PM mini-mart at 5401 Commercial St. SE and demanded cash, Salem police Lt. Dave Okada said. At least one suspect was armed with a gun.
Okada said the robbery remains under investigation and no arrests have been made.
Salem and Keizer investigators are meeting to determine whether the two robberies are connected.
Anyone with information about the Keizer robbery is asked to contact Keizer police Detective Ben Howden at 503-856-3525. Investigators are also asking that residents or businesses close to the bar review their surveillance cameras to check if either suspect can be seen.
