Deputies: Sex offender abused boys in Oregon and Washington; additional victims sought

Investigators believe there are more victims who have yet to come forward. Adam Wallace was indicted on 19 felony charges.

WASHINGTON COUNTY, Ore — A registered sex offender was indicted Wednesday on 19 felony charges for sexually abusing underage males and luring them online. Detectives believe he may face additional charges.

Adam Michael Wallace, 39, is known for using apps like Instagram, Snapchat, Grindr, Hornet and text messaging to contact his victims, often posing as a younger person, according to the Washington County Sheriff's Office. He would then meet them in person and promise to buy them gifts, such as clothing, before sexually abusing them.

Due to the number of victims, locations and pictures retrieved from Wallace’s phone, investigators believe there are more victims who have yet to come forward. They believe the abuse may have happened between 2015 and March of this year, when he was recently arrested.

The Washington County Sheriff’s Office began an investigation into Wallace after learning that there may be victims in their area from the Marion County Sheriff’s Office.

On Wednesday, Wallace was indicted with four counts of using children in a display of sexually explicit conduct, two counts of third-degree sodomy, four counts of second-degree sexual abuse, two counts of online sexual corruption of a child and seven counts of luring a minor.

Wallace is currently in custody at the Marion County Jail and is facing similar cases in Linn County, Oregon and Cowlitz Counties and Washington. He was last living in Aurora.

Anyone with information is asked to contact the Washington County Sheriff’s Office at 503-846-2700 or Detective Emanie Bravo with the Marion County Sheriff’s Office at 503-566-6910.
