PORTLAND, Ore. — Summer is here and it's time to check the temperatures of Portland's hottest hoods.

The Portland Business Journal regularly checks on residential sales stats for the 100 or so neighborhoods in the metro area with data provided by RMLS, the local residential listing service. Second-quarter numbers are in this week, and today we see which ZIP codes were most active for home sales during that time.

Among the 25 neighborhoods on the list, nine were in Portland and the rest were all over the map, from Gresham in the east, Hillsboro in the west and Vancouver, Battle Ground, Camas and Ridgefield across the Columbia.

Five of the neighborhoods were not on the list for the first quarter: Hillsboro/Rockcreek, Happy Valley, Piedmont/Concordia, North Tabor/Hollywood and Lents. Five that were on last quarter's list but not this quarters were Wilsonville, Sellwood/Eastmoreland, Hazelwood/Fairview and three ZIP codes in Vancouver.

The number of homes sold in this list's busiest neighborhood was 41 sales fewer than the No. 1 neighborhood last quarter. Click through the slideshow below to see which neighborhoods made the list and how they were ranked.
