Raw drone video: Hundreds at Stand Up Paddleboard Witch Paddle

Why not create an event that brings paddle boarders to the Willamette River dressed as witches.

PORTLAND, Ore. — The instructions for the event were simple.

Bring a paddle board, harness, flotation device and non-invasive species permit.

And a witch costume.

The second annual SUP Stand Up Paddleboard Witch Paddle, a stroke of Portland genius, went off without a hitch Saturday at Willamette Park.

You know you've hit big time when the Portland Fire & Rescue Bureau sends a boat to send up huge water jets usually worthy for a Rose Festival Navy Fleet Arrival.

KGW's Cassidy Quinn took a practice run before the event with organizer Ginny Kauffman.
