PORTLAND, Ore. — Each week, KGW provides a list of four events you may want to attend in the Portland area over the weekend and a list of four restaurants you may want to try. Here are our picks for this weekend.

Cider Rite of Spring

The annual cider tasting event features over 100 unique ciders served by over 30 different cidermakers. There will also be a pop-up store where attendees can purchase cider to go. Admission is $30, which includes eight drink tickets and a commemorative glass.

Auto parts swap meets

There are two auto parts swap meets this weekend in Portland.

One is at Portland International Raceway. Vendors selling automotive gear will be lining about five miles inside the road course. Tickets are $7 and parking is $10. Children age 12 or younger get in free.

The second event is the 55th annual Portland Swap Meet at the Portland Expo Center. There will be about 3,500 vendors on hand inside and outside the expo center. Tickets are $7. Children age 12 or younger get in free. Discount ticket packages are available.

Aladdin Broadway Musical

It’s the last weekend to catch Disney’s Aladdin Broadway musical in Portland. There are two shows Saturday and Sunday. Ticket prices vary but begin at $25 plus fees depending on which show you attend.

Vancouver Women’s Show

More than 140 exhibitors of fashion, health and beauty products will be at the Clark County Event Center for the two-day women’s show. Tickets are $10. Children age 12 or younger get in free.

Lardo

Lardo is arguably one of the best sandwich shops in Portland, featuring pork drenched double burgers, giant meatball Banh Mi, dirty fries and the list goes on. Lardo only gets better with it’s monthly “chefwich” collaborations, which brings something new and tasty each month. Visit Lardo at either 1212 SE Hawthorne Blvd or 1205 SW Washington St.

Proud Mary

Proud Mary was founded by a husband and wife team, Nolan and Shari Hirte, in Melbourne, Australia in 2009. The couple opened their first U.S. location in Portland back in 2017. Proud Mary offers an all-day breakfast and lunch menu featuring some of Melbourne’s most iconic dishes made with locally sourced ingredients. Proud Mary is known for their coffee but also offers high-end tea, fresh juice, smoothies, pastries.

Visit Proud Mary on 2012 NE Alberta St. Keep in mind the kitchen closes at 3:00 p.m. daily.

Boxer Ramen

Boxer Ramen offers a hipster, Western take to tonkotsu shio, spicy red miso, shiitake shoyu and vegan curry ramen. Boxer Ramen also offers sakes, beer and soda. Visit them at either one of their four locations: 1025 SW Stark St., 2032 NE Alberta St., 2309 NW Kearney St. and 2605 E. Burnside St.

Little Bean

Little Bean opened earlier this week in the Pearl District and is offering ice cream made from chickpea milk. Little Bean also serves up coffee and an array of gluten-free, nut-free and soy-free pastries and toasts. Visit them at 1241 NW Johnson Street.
