'It has reached crisis proportions': Man shot and killed in Portland's 20th homicide of the year

The man who died in yesterday afternoon's shooting near Dawson Park was Portland's 20th homicide of the year and the 15th person to die from gun violence. At this time last year, the number of homicides in Portland stood at one. "We see it has reached crisis proportions," said Portland Mayor Ted Wheeler, who visited the shooting scene. Wheeler said he hopes a new team launched by Portland police to address gun violence will make a difference. And Kieran Ramsey, Portland's new special agent in charge, said the FBI may step in to help with money, personnel or technological resources. READ MORE

Oregon could have enough doses to vaccinate every adult who wants the vaccine by the end of May
