Clash of the Comedies: The Championship

16 timeless comedies go head-to-head and you decide which is the funniest flick of all-time.

PORTLAND, Ore. — March has come and gone but the opportunity to socially distance and watch great movies still remains. Our first Movie Madness tournament saw "The Wizard of Oz" defeat "The Shawshank Redemption" in a nail-biting 3,000 vote championship bout. So we decided to keep the fun going, this time offering a bit of comedic relief.

After taking viewer feedback into account, the KGW selection committee (Drew Carney and a few others on the Sunrise show) has selected 16 of the best comedies from the 1970s to the 2000s. Films from the 70s and 80s comprise the left side of the bracket, while comedies from the 90s and 2000s make up the right. Each morning you can visit KGW.com/vote to choose your favorite movie from the day's matchup.

Who will be crowned the king of comedy? Voting opens each weekday at 5 a.m. and will remain open until 10 a.m.
