Restaurants support survivors of domestic violence

All day Wednesday, 49 Portland area eateries are participating in “Restaurants for Raphael House.” Each restaurant, has pledged to donate a portion of their day’s proceeds to Raphael House of Portland and survivors of domestic violence.

Brian McFayden, visited Ruby Jewel Ice Cream shop, at 428 SW 12th Ave. in Downtown Portland, on Wednesday afternoon to speak with co-owner Becky Burnett and with Amanda Ives from Raphael House about the importance of this fundraiser.

Raphael House of Portland is a domestic violence prevention and intervention agency dedicated to ending intimate partner violence for good. They offer confidential emergency shelter, safety planning a 24 hour crisis line.
