Emma Kubert comes from a long line of artists but she is paving her own way.

She's an incredibly talented artist who has freelanced for the likes of DC Comics and has her own comic debuting in 2020.

But more recently, she was able to work on an all-female team to create exclusive collector cards that can be found inside X-Men: Dark Phoenix 4K Ultra HD at Walmart.

Emma sat down to talk about that experience, what it's like to be in the comics industry as a young woman and about her upcoming comic "Inkblot", which will be hitting shelves in 2020.

Emma is the granddaughter of notorious comic artist Joe Kubert, daughter of comic artist Andy Kubert, and niece of comic artist Adam Kubert. She knows the hard work that goes into being a successful artist and she is more than willing to put in the time.

She was here in Portland attending her first-ever Rose City Comic Con, but I have a feeling it won't be her last.
