PORTLAND, Ore. – Starting Friday, you can visit Gary Germer & Associates in Portland to take pictures with an Oscar, and purchase items from the estate of Academy Award winner Elmo Williams.

Williams was a film and television editor, producer, director and executive. He passed away at 102 years old, in Brookings, last November.

His estate has been brought to Portland, along with his Academy Award, which he received for his work in editing "High Noon" (1952) starring Gary Cooper, Grace Kelly and Lee Van Cleef.

Williams also worked on "20,000 Leagues Under the Sea" (1954) in which he was nominated for another Oscar, and "Cleopatra" (1963), starring Elizabeth Taylor and Richard Burton.

The Oscar will be donated to a film school, but items of his estate are for sale, including 2nd millennium BCE Egyptian bronzes, Han and Sung Dynasty Chinese artifacts, a 15th century Northern German Armorer's model of Equestrian Knight, a large collection of majolica pottery, antique Oriental rugs, antique textiles and jewelry from Afghanistan, Persia and Japan.

You can also take a photo with the Oscar and post it to social media using the hashtag #BestPictureWithOscar for a chance to win a $50 gift certificate for Gary Germer & Associates.

The estate sale happens Friday, Saturday, and Sunday from 10:00am-5:00pm at Gary Germer & Associates, (407 N. Broadway St. Portland, OR 97227).
