PORTLAND, Ore. -- The Portland Thorns held their last practice Tuesday before heading to the NWSL Championship match.
The Thorns will play the North Carolina Courage on Saturday in Orlando, Florida.
The Thorns advanced to the title match with a 4-1 win over the Orlando Pride Saturday at Providence Park.
The Thorns and Courage split their two regular season matches. Each team won at home.
The Thorns say they’re good soccer right now.
“It’s been a long time coming for this club. I think we’re peaking at the right time. Had a good performance Saturday. One game to go,” said Thorns forward Christine Sinclair.
This is the second time the Thorns have reached the championship match. They won the NWSL title in 2013. The match is set to start at 1:30 p.m.
