Indigo Girls, Cowboy Junkies join summer concert lineup

PORTLAND, Ore. -- The Oregon Zoo added a double bill to their summer concert series featuring the Indigo Girls and Cowboy Junkies.

"Both of these artists have the unique talent of conveying profound messages with beautiful, yet simple, musical compositions," zoo events coordinator Krista Swan said.
Amy Ray and Emily Saliers’ 1989 major-label debut included the single "Closer to Fine," earned a Grammy and reached platinum status. Their most recent work, "Despite our Differences," came out in 2006.

The Canadian Timmins brothers and sister Margot first widely distributed album, "The Trinity Session," was recorded in Toronto's Holy Trinity Church in one night using only one microphone. "Early 21st Century Blues" was released in 2005.
The show is Saturday, June 28, at 7 p.m., tickets are @5 available from the Oregon Zoo.
