We spent 5 days at Ice Lake in the Eagle Cap wilderness. There was never a dull moment. On a day hike 1 1/2 miles south of the lake I found these fresh set of cougars tracks following a small stream. The surroundings were perfect habitat for this big predator. Lots of high places to sit and wait for dinner.
Our dog Midge is waiting on her human mom on the trail in to Ice Lake. She packed in her own food and even her own sleeping bag in that pack. Yes, I did say sleeping bag, she's spoiled.
