Upon hearing its approach, I ran for the camera and quickly managed to capture this zoomed-in shot of the B-17 Flying Fortress 'Nine-O-Nine' from my front yard in Salem near the Fairgrounds late this afternoon. According to today's Statesman Journal newspaper, the "Wings of Freedom Tour", consisting of three WW2-era planes, will be flying in to the Salem airport today and will be available for viewing at the airport today and tomorrow from 9 to 5. The remaining two Tour planes are a B-24 Liberator and a P-51 Mustang. Enjoy!
