I have chosen three photos different aspects of the coast, each showing moments perhaps not entirely unique to this part of the world but at least very defining of living with Mother Nature at the coast. The rainbows came and went in almost a fingersnap between squalls, showing how quickly the weather can rage and reward. The eagle bringing a salmon to his mate atop a tree just a stone's throw from the Necanicum Estuary was a lucky camera shot from the bathoom window of our beach house. A magnificent sight. The strollers in the distance, with a backdrop of Tillamook Head, speaks for itself, through a deliberately overexposed photo that conveys a stark and simple closeness to each other and to the environment about them.
