After moving to the Portland area with my wife and kids I had the opportunity to head to the beach one day. Getting settled in and working a lot, it was a real treat to spend the day at the beach. I started out in Seaside and basically just hung out on the beach all day. The weather was beautiful, around 70 degrees. In February! I made my way to Cannon Beach in the evening to catch the sunset, like everyone else, but I really wanted it to be dark so I could capture some time lapse of the ocean. The darker it got, the people started to dwindle until I was the only one out there. I closed the beach down! Then I packed up and headed back to the city.
