I didn't believe I ever deserved someone like my boyfriend. He is everything that I am not and more. We fit together like two puzzle pieces that from a distance appear to come from opposite sides of the puzzle, but when held closely are a perfect match.
This photo is the exact spot we met for the very first time. We are both first year dental students at OHSU, and as part of our orientation we were required to attend a weekend retreat at Cannon Beach. Not a bad way to start your first week of dental school if you ask me.
After our return back to Portland we started to date and practically spent every weekend together ever since. We both knew there was something more to this relationship than just your average casual encounter at the beach.
Recently we decided to return to the place where it all started. Unfortunately it was terribly windy. The wind blown sand was flowing like a river on top of the beach. Though somewhat miserable it was beautiful.
This picture will forever be a reminder of how important it was for both of us to take a chance on one another and go "Wherever the wind blows you".
