There's something about the first snow fall that makes you feel like a little kid again. I went outside to play in the snow with my son and our dogs and started throwing snowballs in the air to them. To my surprise, our dog Murphy would catch them and eat them. This was his first snow fall too and he was acting like a puppy again. I guess it's universal.
