The Columbia Gorge across from Biggs OR has a wonderful State Park on Horsethief Lake. It maintains a group of old artifact petrographic drawings. Small wildflowers are just coming into bloom. The park itself is about 5 miles east of Maryhill Museum which has been remodeled and has stunning grounds and a panoramic view! This past weekend, the first one of April 2011, our car registered 75 degrees for the outside temp! Nice short trip from Portland. And don't forget to stop and Cousins Restaurant in The Dalles for their giant Cinnamon Roll! enough for 2 people easy!
