Around 9am, my pups started barking. We live in a rural area and I thought, Did someone ring the doorbell?" So I went downstairs and saw all these elk in the front of the house; then ran upstairs to the office to get my camera, only to find out there were more on that side. These pics were taken from inside, as I didn't want to disturb them; but I eventually put my camera on video and was outside taping. They looked at me, but didn't stir until the pups came out. The elk then went to the back of the garden, jumped the fence to our forest and hung out with our chickens for about a half hour, before fleeing down our drive. It was so awe inspiring! Can't wait for their return.
