Bring your old electronics to 'E-Cyling' Day

KGW and Intel will help Oregonians recycle old electronics for E-Cycling Day 2008.
You can bring in old, too slow or burned out computer systems, including peripherals, desktop and laptop computers, keyboards, mice, and monitors, TVs, phones, DVDs and other electronics.

It’s at Intel’s Jones Farm Campus located in Hillsboro.
There will also be a shredding truck on site for people to confidentially dispose of paper waste.
The event is Saturday, September 13 from 10 a.m. until 2 p.m. at the campus on 2111 NE 25th Avenue, Hillsboro, OR 97124
There is a $5 fee for TV recycling.
Items accepted for recycling:
27 inch or smaller TVs* ($5.00 fee)
VCRs and DVD players
Computer monitors* ($5.00 fee)
CPUs
Phones
Cellular phones/PDAs/pagers/charges
Keyboards/mice
Items not accepted:
Microwaves
Smoke detectors
Air conditioners
Major household appliances (washers/dryers/refrigerators)
Household electronics (shavers, blenders, mixers, etc..)
TV and/or Stereo Consoles
Hazardous Waste Materials
Students Recycling Used Technology helps put computers in schools throughout the state to supplement educational programs. StRUT also works with business partners to reduce their e-waste through refurbishing and recycling.
