By DAVID KROUGH, kgw.com Staff

PORTLAND, Ore. -- Tanks and treads were expected to roll into the Portland Expo Center Thursday, but it’s not a foreign invasion.

It’s the Military Vehicle Preservation Association’s collector’s club display and swap meet.

Oregon Military Museum

More than 125 historic military vehicles, from bicycles to tanks will be on display along with hundreds of vendors selling parts, paint, canvas, uniforms, and militaria.

Attention! R. Lee Ermy, from the History Channel’s show "Mail Call" and the actor who played the drill sergeant from Full Metal Jacket will be there to sign autographs and take photos.

Donations of canned food or hygiene products will be accepted to help the police bureau’s Sunshine Division. The show will also benefit the Oregon Military Museum at Camp Withycombe and for MVCC of Oregon.

The show runs 8 a.m.-5 p.m. Thursday and Friday, and 8 a.m.-4 p.m. on Saturday.

Admission for all 3 days is $25, $20 for Thursday and Friday, and $5 for Saturday only.
