Then you may want to head over to NW Portland Saturday for the 2nd Annual Tails and Ales Dog Wash.

The event is a big spring fundraiser for the DoveLewis Emergency Animal Hospital. Volunteers will try to wash as many dogs as possible in six hours. There's no charge, but DoveLewis suggests a $5 donation. And for those of you who want to give your dog the royal treatment, the Rose Festival Court will be "celebrity" dog washers later in the afternoon.

New this year, both you and your dog can donate blood and save lives. The American Red Cross Bloodmobile will be there starting 10:00am, but you'll have to make an appointment ahead of time. Canines will be able to donate to the DoveLewis Blood Bank, but not all dogs will be accepted.
