We're off to another record setting cold morning with temps in the teens and 20s. We've already tied or broken at handful of records with the possibility of more falling. Overall we're off to a clear start and I expect to stay pretty sunny today, however, look for increasing clouds as the day goes on. Highs will top out today in the low to mid-30s.
The clouds moving in today will eventually lead to moisture at the north coast overnight and then south of the area into early tomorrow morning. The position of the low pressure should mainly keep Portland snow free, outside of some flurries at least. Most of the snowfall will be from Salem south, especially into Corvallis and Eugene where a few inches could fall. Astoria and Newport will see some snow as well, but again besides flurries, most of the energy should skip areas from Portland to Salem.
