PORTLAND – Interstate 405 was partially closed Thursday morning after a naked man ran away from police and toward the freeway.
The man reportedly jumped a fence and ran down the Couch Street off-ramp just after 4 a.m.
Police tasered and tackled him before he could run into the traffic lanes of the freeway. The ramp was closed while he was taken into custody.
The suspect, identified as Oleg Orestorich Lakotiy, 19, was taken to a nearby hospital for treatment for a meth overdose, according to Sgt. Pete Simpson with the Portland Police Bureau.
Lakotiy was cited for disorderly conduct and reckless endangerment.
Police did not say why the man was running away from officers.
