LONGVIEW, Wash. – A physically fit gym owner kept a Christmas day crime from getting out of control Tuesday when he turned the tables on his attacker.
The owner of Forever Fit in Longview was attacked at his gym Christmas day.
“All of the sudden, I go towards my car, I see a guy standing over my car, I say ‘oh my god, what’s going on?’” said Greg Price, the gym’s owner.
Price was stopping by the gym to use the restroom and to drop off a printer he got for Christmas.
He left his car outside the gym for just a few minutes when he heard a crash. A man wearing a mask and a hoodie had broken one of the windows.
Things got scary when Price approached the man.
“He has the printer that I got for Christmas in his arm. He takes the knife and swings it (at me). I duck, punch him in the stomach. As I do that, he drops the knife..and I went down and got him,” Price said.
Price was able to grab the knife and stab the thief in the side. Otherwise he may have been stabbed in the neck or the face.
“I was shaking thinking about that,” he said.
The thief ran off with the printer but Price hopes his attacker learned a valuable lesson.
