PORTLAND -- Officials Friday canvassed the OHSU neighborhood and campus with fliers after two people reported seeing a cougar Thursday morning.
The big cat was seen wandering into the physician's pavilion parking garage around 2:20 a.m. Four campus officers searched the garage and reviewed surveillance video but found no sign of the cat.
With nearly 20,000 people at OHSU on any given day, officials are not taking the sighting lightly.
The sighting is the second since late March. Somebody called 9-1-1 after seeing a large animal with a curled tail near Doernbecher Children's Hospital. Officers were unable to find the possible cougar.
