SAN ANTONIO –Thursday was a busy day for Beaver fans to travel to Texas for the Alamo Bowl, and many got there just in time for a big pep rally.

A recent cold snap, however, had them wearing their colors in layers.

San Antonio’s famous river walk was packed with hundreds of Beaver fans. Players and the marching band arrived by river boats to throngs of cheering supporters all decked out in their black and orange.

“Thank you to all the Beaver fans who have traveled. We’re so proud of you,” said Oregon State coach Mike Riley.
