VANCOUVER, Wash. -- The fireworks will be blasting off for Independence Day once again at Fort Vancouver, and the entire show will be broadcast live on KGW NewsChannel 8. 

This year, the day-long event includes live musical entertainment starting at noon, building to what has historically been the biggest fireworks display west of the Mississippi River.  Tens of thousands of people were expected to attend.

Another highlight of the day comes around 4 p.m. when kids parade from the nearby Fred Meyer to the park, along the park access road.

The fireworks show begins at 10 p.m. KGW-TV will broadcast live from the show from 10 - 10:30 p.m. and it will also be streamed live on kgw.com.

General Admission Price of $7.00 at the gate (age 13 & over) and $5 in advance online. Now this year there is also a "Prime Viewing Area Seating available for $25.00 for age 6 to 20, and $50.00 age 21 and older.
