Volunteers spent Tuesday building a community garden in Southwest Portland .  The garden will provide enough food to assist 500 familes this summer.

Neighborhood House will use the fresh produce in their food box program.

The gardeners all work with Aramark, which offered up the community service program.

Stawberries, garlic, tomatoes and much more will grow this spring and summer.

The garden can be found along Capital Highway in the Multnomah Village area.

Neighborhood house provides assistance to some 12,000 people in the Portland area.
