PORTLAND – It’s still fall in Portland—in fact it was sunny and mid-50s Wednesday afternoon—but there was snow in the park blocks.

The dusting of snow was actually created for the movie “Wild,” which was filming in several spots downtown.

The movie is based on a memoir by Portland author Cheryl Strayed, which recounts her trip along the Pacific Crest Trail.

The film stars Reese Witherspoon.
