SHERWOOD, Ore. (AP) -- Tualatin Valley Fire and Rescue firefighters had to rope down a 75-foot ravine to rescue a driver who had crashed off a road Tuesday afternoon in Sherwood.

The 71-year-old Tigard man was flown to a hospital and is expected to recover.

The Washington County sheriff's office says the crash Tuesday afternoon also took out a power pole causing an outage for residents in the area.
